Video of Chief Justice Announcing Camera Committee
In the spirit of Freedom of Information, the AP is posting video of the April 15 press conference with Chief Justice David Gilbertson, announcing formation of a committee to study rules for camera coverage of court trials in South Dakota.
This is the first step toward opening South Dakota’s lower courts up to electronic coverage, something FOI advocates have been seeking since 1999.
